Important notice if your site uses UniAccess distributed transactions and upgrades to MMC 3.0.
Explanation:After installing MMC 3.0 (KB907265) on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, expanding the UADTC snap-in for MMC, and selecting either “Transaction List” or “Transaction Statistics” when the UADTC service is not running on the selected computer will result in the following error:


This message is then accompanied by the following error message, which forces closure of MMC:


Note: this error does not occur if the UADTC service is running.

Additional Information

MMC 3.0 has just been released by Microsoft as an optional update for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. If you chose to install MMC 3.0, it will replace MMC 2.0 which is bundled with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

MMC 3.0 is slated to be released with Windows Vista.

Workaround
